Olympic Gold Medalist Selects Technology from The Active Network to Manage Gymnastic Facilities Operations

Tim Daggett’s Gold Medal Gymnastics Will Offer Online Registration for the First Time

SAN DIEGO, CAFebruary 9, 2009 – Gold Medal Gymnastics, owned by Tim Daggett, an Olympic gold medalist, has selected technology from The Active Network, Inc. (Active), a leading provider of software technology and marketing solutions for community service organizations, to provide software to manage daily operations. Active’s gymnastics software, available through its ActiveCommunities division, will streamline the registration process and database management for over 20 programs, and offer participants online registration for the first time.

Tim Daggett, who participated in the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles, is the primary commentator for NBC gymnastics and has covered the last five summer Olympics. He is also a published author and owns Gold Medal Gymnastics, a multi-million dollar training facility that attracts over 1,300 children of all ages to the gym weekly.

“I know for many gymnastics organizations, making the technology leap can seem like a daunting task but Active’s software is completely flexible and Active’s staff works to identify your organizations needs, and provides software to match,” explained Tim Daggett, owner of Gold Medal Gymnastics. “Active brings the expertise required to provide organizations with a seamless transition and offers superior customer support. Active was the right choice for Gold Medal Gymnastics.”

Active’s online registration software will streamline the daily administrative duties for Gold Medal Gymnastics and eliminate time-consuming manual processes. The system centralizes all data onto one easy-to-use platform providing staff and gym members with access to up-to-date information. In addition, gymnasts and parents can view class availability and register when and where it’s convenient for them.

“As an Olympic gold medalist and now gym owner, Tim Daggett has firsthand knowledge of the technology challenges gymnastic organizations face,” explained Alex Barnetson, senior vice president, The Active Network, Inc. “The number of gymnastics facilities utilizing our software continues to grow and we are thrilled to team up with an industry veteran. We look forward to working with Tim on future projects.”
