ReserveAmerica Announces 2009 “America’s Ranger of the Year” Award Winners

Voted by Camping Enthusiasts, Awards Honor the Nation’s Best Park Rangers

Ballston Spa, NYJuly 27, 2009 – ReserveAmerica, a part of The Active Network and the United States’ leading recreation reservation service, today announced the winners of the “America’s Ranger of the Year” awards. Winners were nominated and voted on by outdoor enthusiasts through ReserveAmerica’s website, www.ReserveAmerica.com. The annual awards are bestowed to the country’s top rangers who’ve dedicated their careers to serving park visitors while preserving the country’s public lands for future generations.

For the first time in its four year history, the “Gold Medal Ranger of the Year” award is being given to two outstanding rangers, Eric Grey and Tyler Sewald from Jackson Lake State Park, CO. In addition, five finalists received the “Silver Medal Ranger of the Year” award for their hard work and dedication. All of this year’s winners exemplified the commitment, pride and leadership that represent the awards.
