Mike Reilly, the "Voice of Ironman", honored for helping thousands of triathletes cross the finish line and inspiring people to get active for more than two decades
SAN DIEGO, CALIF. – October 13, 2011 – The Active Network, Inc. The induction took place at last week’s 2011 Ford Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii.

Reilly is the energetic voice heard when triathletes cross the finish line after a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride and 26 mile run. He coined the famous catch-phrase, “You are an Ironman,” that motivates triathletes to push through the grueling race. For more than two decades, he has been an integral part of the Ironman World Championship held in Kona each year. Reilly announced his 100th Ironman event in New Zealand last March.
