ActiveWorks® technology to help USA Triathlon members ensure streamlined and compliant event management
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — USA Triathlon today announced that Active Network (NYSE: ACTV) will serve as the exclusive Official Technology Partner of USA Triathlon through November 2016. The new partnership is expected to streamline the registration and membership process for USA Triathlon members while helping race directors ensure efficient, online event management and compliance with USA Triathlon requirements.

Through the partnership, Active Network will utilize its ActiveWorks platform to:
- Provide online registration for three USA Triathlon-owned National Championships (Age Group/Sprint, Youth/Junior and Duathlon)
- Serve as USA Triathlon’s first-ever real-time membership verification partner
- Allow athletes to renew their annual membership or register with USA Triathlon as they sign-up for local events
- Support registration efforts for a variety of USA Triathlon events and educational initiatives such as the annual Race Director Coaching Symposium
- Engage in content-sharing and cross-promotional efforts while utilizing the Company’s significant database marketing capabilities to help facilitate the further growth of the sport
- Support USA Triathlon fundraising activities to benefit charitable and worthy causes
Additionally, Active Network has improved the functionality of USA Triathlon waiver verification and created customized event detail pages and race director pages for many USA Triathlon-sanctioned events — all with the aim of creating a simplified online registration process for USA Triathlon annual members.
