“ACTIVE RegOnline is our next-generation tool designed to help event planners in small and medium-sized businesses do their job easier and grow their events and revenue,” said Anthony Miller, vice president of ACTIVE Network’s Business Solutions Group. “The new software streamlines many of the most complex stages of event planning into a single technology platform, which we believe will remove much of the stress and manual labor involved in the process. Additionally, hotels and venues can benefit from access to a large audience of planners via our global marketplace, which includes buyers from SMBs and associations.”
The user interface of the new ACTIVE RegOnline has a crisp, clean layout that makes it simple to access the right tools for various stages of event planning—from finding a venue, to promoting the event, to managing attendee registrations and real-time engagement via the free mobile app. An infographic-based dashboard allows planners to view key event metrics in one place, such as number of attendees registered, demographics, and the amount of revenue generated.
“The new ACTIVE RegOnline is beautiful and easy to use,” said Glenn Goodfellow, Administrator, International Montessori Congress. “We’re happy using this tool to manage our event. With the intuitive user interface and navigation structure, no training is required to use the software. It was clearly designed with an understanding of the organizer’s needs, and workflow.”
The launch of the new ACTIVE RegOnline comes on the heels of the results of a survey that ACTIVE conducted in partnership with iMeet. Entitled “What RFPs Mean to SMBs: Turning Headaches into Solutions for Event Planners,” the survey explored RFP processes used in SMBs. Participants comprised 190 event planners at companies with less than $1 billion in annual revenue1. Roughly half of all survey participants reported using multiple separate tools throughout the event management process—such as e-mail, Excel®, and Outlook®—creating inefficiencies and potential for errors. Additionally, participants who use online sourcing tools said they are able to complete tasks and receive responses to RFPs from hotels, sooner. The new ACTIVE RegOnline software is expected to be available in North America in late August, with the International rollout planned for late 2013.
