ACTIVE Officially Opens 125,000 Square Feet of New Office Space in Downtown Dallas and Shares 2015 Strategy for Growth
DALLAS — December 3, 2014 – ACTIVE Network® today hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to launch its new global headquarters and publicly share its company growth strategy for 2015. Since moving to Dallas five months ago, ACTIVE has seamlessly integrated into the business and technology community. Mayor Mike Rawlings and Dallas Regional Chamber CEO Dale Petroskey joined ACTIVE Network CEO Darko Dejanovic for the ribbon-cutting ceremony. ACTIVE Network relocated to Dallas to establish centers of excellence, recruit and retain future talent, and position itself for continued fast-paced growth.
“We were looking for a location with a business-friendly climate, a strong pool of talent, and a city that offered a great quality of life for our employees. Based on our search, Dallas proved to be our top choice, and it has exceeded our expectations,” stated ACTIVE Chief Executive Officer, Darko Dejanovic. “Dallas is a vibrant and growing city, and its location makes it a great hub for our expanding global business.”
“We have big expectations for 2015. We are taking a strategic step in transforming our business into not only a cloud-based SaaS technology company, we are also now becoming a business intelligence-focused data and analytics company,” added Dejanovic. “As we head into 2015, we will harness our rich data and market intelligence and turn it into insights for our customers, which will have a dramatic positive impact on their business and will drive growth and increased participation in all types of events and activities.”
Since moving to Dallas, ACTIVE Network has hired several hundred people and is well on its way to having 1,000 staff here. The company also sponsored the US Open Triathlon that occurred in the Dallas Metroplex in October as part of its ACTIVEx Charity Challenge. Its staff came out in force, with more than 120 ACTIVE employees taking on the “challenge” of a triathlon, 5k, or volunteering to support the race. ACTIVE staff fundraised thousands of dollars for charity partner, KIDS in the GAME, which led to over 400 underserved Dallas children being able to participate in youth sports through local YMCAs and Girls on the Run programs.
ACTIVE Network was also recognized by the Dallas Regional Chamber as the 2014 Blueprint Award recipient for Corporate Relocation last month.
