SAN DIEGO, Calif.— February 12, 2014 – ACTIVE Network ®, the leader in cloud-based Activity and Participant Management™ solutions, today announced that the cities of Phoenix, Portland and Denver have selected ACTIVE Net® to help manage programs and reporting for their parks and recreation activities.  These three cities join the growing movement of technology-forward communities that are adopting cloud-based applications across North America. ACTIVE Net® is a flagship, cloud-based software platform designed to help organizations deliver community programs, book facilities, manage memberships, and communicate with citizens.

ACTIVE Net® provides a single system to help community organizations:

  • Manage Operations - Manage multiple facilities and hundreds of programs centrally.  Provide convenience and security for customers and remove manual processes.
  • Drive Participation - Use built-in tools to increase engagement, such as marketing tools that help promote activities and programs.
  • Deliver Insights - Track and manage real-time dashboards with a view on participant engagement metrics that help reveal programming opportunities.

“Cities like Portland and Phoenix, that use ACTIVE’s non-hosted Class software, are migrating to the ACTIVE Net hosted solution because of the value that the powerful tools offer in helping local citizens better connect to activities and services,” said Ram Krishnan, Senior Vice President of Communities at ACTIVE Network. “ACTIVE Network has been a trusted partner to thousands of organizations and we strive to ensure they can continue to adapt to the evolving needs of their communities.”

“Each year, Portland Parks & Recreation offers more than 15,000 classes and activities at 18 community and arts centers city-wide,” said Betty Woodward, Assistant Business System Analyst, Portland Parks & Recreation.  “ACTIVE Network products have helped us manage programs for the community of Portland for almost 20 years, and we’re excited to bring enhancements to the user experience of our customers.”

“More than a million Phoenix-area residents regularly enjoy our city’s wide-open parks, stunning desert trails, and vibrant recreation centers,” said James Burke, Acting Parks and Recreations Director, City of Phoenix. “ACTIVE Network has been a trusted partner since 1995, and we’re eager to begin the transition to a technology solution that will help minimize costs around IT infrastructure, security, and compliance.”

“Denver Parks and Recreation strives to provide best-in-class resources to its community to engage and encourage participation across its local classes and public spaces,” said Fred Weiss, Director of Finance and Administration, City of Denver, Parks and Recreation.  “ACTIVE Network provides us with enterprise-level software with the capabilities of providing flexible and in-depth reporting tools as well as helping us to identify new opportunities, respond to customer needs, and plan new programs.”
