ACTIVE Network will continue to support the growth of the world’s largest tennis organization with its software and technology solutions
Dallas – May 12, 2017 – ACTIVE Network®, the premier global marketplace for activities and events and an industry-leading provider of data solutions, today announced it has been selected to continue as the exclusive tournament and league registration provider for the United States Tennis Association (USTA), the recognized leader in promoting and developing the growth of tennis on every level in the United States. Since 2007, ACTIVE has managed and hosted USTA's TennisLink software platform, which is the registration and match-results system of record for all sanctioned USTA Leagues, USTA Junior Team Tennis, and USTA Tournaments. ACTIVE has delivered streamlined and intuitive software that has helped the USTA increase participation in its sanctioned tournaments and leagues by more than 130%, growing from 690,000 registrations in January of 2007 to over 1.6 million annual registrations this past year.
The USTA once again selected ACTIVE Network because of ACTIVE’s expertise in supporting national governing bodies and large, enterprise-level organizations that have sophisticated and complex administrative, operational, and communications needs. Their agreement enables the USTA to register players, process payments securely, and understand participant data. The agreement also provides the USTA with resources for enhancing participant engagement with the USTA via ACTIVE’s lively online tennis community.
“ACTIVE has expanded its technology efforts to accommodate our growth through the years, and it now supports all USTA sanctioned registrations throughout the year. ACTIVE’s software capabilities, services, and expertise have been critical to the increase in registrations over the past ten years,” said Jeff Waters, managing director of Adult Tennis & Association Services, USTA. “ACTIVE truly understands the comprehensive functionality, usability, and scale we need to support tennis participants across the U.S. We’re excited to continue our relationship with ACTIVE as we expand the number of our leagues and tournaments to continually grow the sport of tennis.”
“We are very pleased to power technology that supports the United States Tennis Association as it continues to define the growth path for the sport of tennis in the years to come,” said Sam Renouf, general manager for sports at ACTIVE Network. “Working in partnership with the USTA reaffirms our commitment to providing the market-leading technologies, data insights, and services that large-scale organizations need to support their growth and ultimately onboard new generations of participants and active enthusiasts.”
