Through the alliance, Evite.com taps into a new vertical market – sports and recreation – with a potential user base of 115 million recreational athletes, and Active.com adds an enhancement to its existing Web registration and community tools for sports participants.
With the Evite service, available now at www.active.com, athletes can invite friends and other athletes to their events via an easy, free and fun e-mail invitation. The service can be accessed directly from Active.com while searching and registering for events.
