Active Also Named 15th Fastest Growing Company in San Diego County
SAN DIEGO, CA – December 2, 2008 – The Active Network, Inc. (Active), a leading provider of application services technology and marketing solutions for community organizations, was named one of North America’s fastest growing technology companies on Deloitte’s 2008 Technology Fast 500. Ranked by percentage revenue growth over five years, Active grew 576% from 2003 to 2007 and ranked 285th overall.

Recording a record of approximately $102,399,000 in revenues in 2007, this is the fourth year Active has made the Technology Fast 500 list. Active was also named a Fast 50 finalist and was recognized as the 15th fastest growing company in San Diego County.
The Fast 500 ranks the fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications and life sciences companies in North America. It is compiled from Deloitte’s regional North American Fast 50 programs, nominations submitted directly to the Fast 500 and public company database research. Companies are selected based on percentage revenue growth from 2003 to 2007. To qualify, entrants must own proprietary intellectual property or proprietary technology that contributes to a significant portion of the company’s operating revenues or devote a significant proportion of revenues to research and development of technology. Base-year operating revenues must be at least $50,000 USD and current-year operating revenues must be at least $5 million USD. Companies must be in business a minimum of five years and headquartered within North America.
