SUISUN CITY, CA - August 1, 2002 - The Suisun City community can now enroll for park and recreation activities from home or work, thanks to a new online service launched by Suisun City Recreation & Community Services. Beginning August 5, the community can enroll online for a variety of fall programs.
"Being a ?bedroom' community, it is important to be available to the public and online registration helps us meet that need," said Charlynn Matheson, administrative assistant, Suisun City Recreation & Community Services. "When people call for class information, I always remind them that they can register online."
Using ProActive, a recreation management software and Web registration product by La Jolla-based The Active Network, Suisun City Recreation & Community Services is making its programs available via the Internet. The software installs easily and registration and data management capabilities can be accessed quickly. With online enrollment, the staff reduces the workload and paperwork involved in the registration process.
New this fall season, the department is offering Pilates and also Solo Drum, a high density dance to energizing music.
Fall registration begins August 5 and classes start September 9. Online registration can be accessed at www.suisun.com. There is a nominal convenience fee to use the online registration service. For more information, call 707-421-7200.
