Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association Among First to Use New Services to Streamline its Clubs and Programs
SAN DIEGO, CA - August 17, 2005 - Active Sports Technologies, part of The Active Network, Inc. (www.TheActiveNetwork.com), has partnered with the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) to debut online registration and online fundraising services for its club and varsity lacrosse programs across the country. While the company also provides technology services to over 500 university athletic camps, IWLCA will be among the first to use Active Sports Technologies' new services for its clubs. IWLCA members already using the online club fundraising services include Northwestern University, the University of Louisville and Loyola College, Maryland.
"Online club fundraising should allow non-varsity sport clubs to raise more money in less time, transforming the way clubs manage fundraising. For those clubs that depend exclusively on fundraising dollars, this is significant news," explained Chris Carver, director of camp services for The Active Network. "With our track record providing online fundraising services for non-profit organizations, we can now offer club directors and players a complete suite of online tools to help raise money for their teams and improve their overall efficiency."
Through the company's online club fundraising services, which include personalized individual and team fundraising pages, club directors and players can extend their fundraising networks and increase resources for club programs. IWLCA members can also use Active's online registration services to automate lacrosse camp registration, streamlining administration and allowing more time to focus on recruiting, coaching and fundraising.
Jenn Harpel, executive director, IWLCA, said, "We are excited to offer IWLCA members the benefits of online club fundraising. Through our partnership, coaches will gain access to Active's easy-to-use online tools to increase efficiency, broaden their fundraising reach, and ultimately enhance their overall programs."
